The Community Expo is a crucial part of the festival, allowing festival visitors to engage with and access services; find out about key organisations that support the LGBT+ community across Scotland; and gain vital knowledge of community groups and activities.
The famous traders area seen at many Pride events across the country will host a variety of traders selling LGBT+ merchandise, clothing, jewellery, sweets and charity information.
Family and youth space
The Youth Space will provide a place for young people aged 13-25. This space is planned out by a collaborative group of young people known as the Purple Dragons who meet regularly at The Shore in Dundee, organised through LGBT Youth Scotland. More details on the Youth Space will be announced later in the year.
The Family area is under consultation with the Dundee Pride board based on feedback from our public consultations. We plan on introducing a Family Fun Zone that can be run in conjunction with the Youth Space, which could feature face painting, a kids disco, baby changing facilities and much more.
Food and drink
Food Vendors will be on site offering a variety of catering options and will feature some of the best festival food.
The location of the event also benefits from some offsite catering options.
